The summer learning journey art book

On Monday we started our first Summer learning journey activity. We re-did a picture that an Artist Drew and coloured the Teacher said that we could do two or more if we finished the first one quickly enough but I didn't really get to because I wasn't quick doing mine.

Anyways at least I got to finish one picture take a look! and the other one on the left is the original picture watch the artist drew but I  decided to put all the colours in it because they look really nice and it makes me think of rainbow because I really like them I looked at at the original one and it doesn't really have much colour so I decided to put a lot colour on mine to really make it stand out. actually me looking at the rainbow makes me feel really happy and Joyful and encourages me.

My name is Ruta and I am a Hauraki student in the seniors. What a fabulous comment! You have lots of detail and I love your art. Most of the seniors did it as well for the summer learning journey. Maybe you could add full stops to your sentences more short and you could add what you liked about it. What would you do to improve your art book colouring? Did you enjoy colouring in? What was something negative?

Anyways, fabulous blog post and enjoy the next 2 days at school before the holidays!
    Bye!

  2. Kia orana Hannah!

My name is Hannah and I am a senior student in Saint Mary's Catholic Primary School in Gisborne. I am astounded by your art! Your picks of colour are very clever. My previous class also tried this site out last year for Summer Learning Journey too! What a coincidence!

This piece of artwork reminded me of my re-made art I created, it was a Japanese woman from the 1800's combing her hair, and wore a kimono with a flower design.

My suggestion would be to make your purple cloth a lighter colour to match the scene with the bold pink and blue background. Did you enjoy colouring the art? How did you feel after? We're you proud after finishing it? If you do have time, please do comment back!
