Reading DLO

This week my class have been doing our Reading DLO which stands for Digital Learning Object.  Our DLO had to be about a Paralympian for the Paralympics. Mine was about Hollie Arnold and the sport that Hollie Arnold does javelin and is a gold medalist with 7 gold medals. Also According to the reports the doctors discovered that Hollie was missing the arm part below her right elbow when on a scan when her mother was pregnant for 20 weeks. Hollie's mum told the Daily Mail that It was a big shock. Here is the LINK

Writing A Game /Procedural text

 Hello bloggers,

Today I am going to tell you about the Procedural text I did about a game called Doctor Doctor. I did this game because it is a soccer game and I play soccer so that was the first thing I thought of.  First we did our plan which said this 

Title Doctor doctor (soccer game)

Goal: to get the doctor 3 times in a row with your ball 

materials/equipment)

6 or more people, a ball for each person

8 cones  

1. Spilt the 6 or more people into 2 teams chose a doctor for each team 

2.put 4 cones around each doctor

3.When everyone is ready then start 

4. Use your ball to try and kick it into someone there knee or lower

5.Anyone can say the gates are open and then people can try and kick the ball to hit the doctor to hit the doctor 3 times 

 

Here is the final instructions

 Doctor Doctor 

 Doctor Doctor is a game where you try to hit the Doctor with the ball underneath the news three times. 

(Materials/equipment)

6 or more people,8 cones ,a ball for each person (except for the Doctor, also if you decide to swap then the person who is going to be the new Doctor has to give the old Doctor the ball they have)

 The Goal is to get the doctor 3 times in a row with your ball.

Instructions:

 1.  Choose a small boundary and split the 6 or more people into 2 teams and choose a doctor for each team.

2.Put 4 cones around each doctor

( the doctor can’t go out of the cones only if someone calls out doctor doctor or if they call out the gates are open also inside the cones the doctor is safe as well. The doctor can try to escape too.

3.When everyone is ready and in there places then start 

4. Use your ball to try and hit people if they hit someone then the person that is hit can call out doctor doctor and the doctor can come and tag them  (please don’t kick the ball to hard it could hurt someone) 

 5.Anyone can say the gates are open and then people can try and kick the ball to hit the doctor to hit the doctor 3 times. You can’t hit the doctor three times by yourself. It has to be two people so you can do it twice but one of the others can do the last for you.

Athletics day

hi bloggers, the 19th November was my schools Athletics Day.

My favourite part was the high jump, it would have been the long jump but sadly I did not get to do it.
When it was my turn I knocked the pole down as always. I felt quite nervous on the hurdles because I could fall over. just before lunch I did the 200 m run I was sad that my parents wasn't there to watch especially when it was lunch time I even cried because I felt really sad and some people had their parents with them so I felt worse because I didn't have mine. but at the end of the day I was quite happy so then I went home and had my dinner and went to bed.

Athletics day is one of my favourite school days!

school swimming

 Hi bloggers do you have a pool at your school? do you swim in it? on Friday February the 26th February we went swimming the teacher told us to go in by lying on the side and rolling over you could even sit on the side [which is the easy way] when we were done we made a whirl pool so we had to run in the pool very fast. after that we just let the waves carry us around the pool then we finished that it was time to get out of the pool.

My Lockdown 4

 Hi bloggers in lock down 4 we had to work from home. On the first day I felt sick. On the second day I  tired to finish the first day of my lock down diary. On Wednesday I read a lot of books at home and finished  Mondays work on Thursday I finished Tuesdays work it was a bio poem at the top we wrote our name next we wrote what we liked to do after that we had who we were a child of. Then we said what made us happy and then we said about our feelings and what we need and then we told about our fears and then we said about what we helped with. After that school seemed to just come back it's just the way things turn out.

 

Math Measurement

Hello bloggers, 

this week on Thursday at school in math we did measurement my buddy was Paige. First we measured  the playground I did the width and Paige did the length the measurement of the width was 10.5 meters the measurement of the length was 31.3  . 

Next we did the  measurement of the space between the rugby goal posts there was so much space in between them it was 41.4 long! then we measured the length of the Te Ana Ako deck it was 8 meters long.then the bell rang so we had to go back to class never mind!

Family fun day

On the 19th of March we had family fun day. first we got in our house groups my house group is Tui. I was so happy when the teacher said that we get a whole hour for each activity! the first activity playing on the inflatable bouncy castles on the field there were races we and I won some of them. the next activity was the inflatable water slide it even had a pool at the end! but unfortunately it was cold in fact it was so cold I could only go 4 times. when we were done that I cuddled up in my towel to keep warm. after that we went and did the wheels zone. I got tired from going back and forth on my scooter so I decided I should take a break my mum got some cup cakes and they were yummy later we went in the pool and I saw the slip and slide it looked really fun after that we finally did slip and slide I got covered in soap then I went home it was a really fun day blog you later!
