The year 6 trip

 Hello bloggers,

Today the year 6's went on a Spark Arena trip. As soon as they were gone we talked with the teacher about safety rules it was about the well being survey I did not really like questions with scary answers. Anyway after that we walked around and said what we were grateful for. The teacher said we could not just walk with our friends because we could make new friends by talking to other people that we don't userly talk with.

After that we made a fortune teller (a fortune teller used to be called a chatter box).

How to make a fortune teller

step 1. fold your square shaped paper in to a triangle then open it up

step 2. then fold the other side in to a triangle as well and open it up

step 3.  then fold it half way down the middle to make a rectangle and open it up

step 4. after that we fold it to the side to make a side ward triangle and open it up

step 5.fold the corners to the middle

step 6 turn the paper over and do step 5 again

step 7 turn the paper over again and fold the four little square forward and you have made your fortune teller

Next we did a complement circle (but it acsolly it was more like a ovel).a complement circle is when you get in a circle and say something good about somebody then you sit down and say something that you like about someone.

After that we did some finishing off what a fun day!

fitness plan and diary

 Hi bloggers,

(part one fitness plan)

One day at school we had to make a fitness plan. (that we would have to do every fruit break) in my fitness plan I decided to do a 6 minute plank. I did do it once but I did not finish all the rest of the things so I decided to change it to 3 minutes the next thing I did was bear crawl which is a little bit embarassing when nobody else is doing it. The others is skipping rope, burpees, push ups, star jumps and hugs.

I like doing my fitness plan!

(part two diary)

Another day at school the teacher gave us a fitness diary we had to write a helpful comment to anybody in our class lots of my comments were about girls but then I decided every one would like a comment so I started writing some to boys. Then we started writing how many hours of sleep we got once I got 14 hours of sleep! and then...(snoozing)

here is a photo

         Sincerely yours from me

My Picasso self portrait

Hi bloggers,

Last week we started a Picasso self portrait. This week I got mine finished so I am going to tell you how I did it.

First we had to get a pencil and coloring the pencil. then we watched the video and it told us how to do it. next we drew the outline of the picture then we did the mouth nose after that we did the coloring to make it Brighton we were not aloud to leave any white spaces because then it wouldn't look as nice I made lots of shapes on mine and it looked a little strange because it was a it was Picasso. When I finished mine it looked good and I liked it. I also like Picasso art because it is really unique and different because the nose is like diagonal and the face is not symmetrical which is really strange to me because I thought self portraits were always symmetrical because when I was in a different class self-portrait but it was symmetrical.

I love making self  portraits. Do you want to start your own?

Here is the video.

The summer learning journey art book

On Monday we started our first Summer learning journey activity. We re-did a picture that an Artist Drew and coloured the Teacher said that we could do two or more if we finished the first one quickly enough but I didn't really get to because I wasn't quick doing mine.

Anyways at least I got to finish one picture take a look! and the other one on the left is the original picture watch the artist drew but I  decided to put all the colours in it because they look really nice and it makes me think of rainbow because I really like them I looked at at the original one and it doesn't really have much colour so I decided to put a lot colour on mine to really make it stand out. actually me looking at the rainbow makes me feel really happy and Joyful and encourages me.

Mangere mountain

Hi bloggers on Monday we went on a trip to Mangere Mountain. First we came in and our guides Leilani and Ellie welcomed us. Then they said some things well I didn't really know what they said and our teacher said some things back then we and since our teacher said some things back then we sang a waiata and had morning tea. When morning tea was finished we went for a long walk. The first thing I remember when we got high on the mountains the guide showed us a metal platform with animals and creatures that the people that used to live on the mountain used to eat. There was dog ,crab and eel so do you get the idea now? Then we went to the highest point of the mountain and that was my favourite part. Well after that we went back and on the way back we saw a mountain of rocks on a metal platform as well and the guide told us that the people that live down the mountain had Made rocks on top of each other so that they could cook there kumara inside the pile of rocks. Then we walked back for lunch I was really hungry and tired so I really enjoyed a nice big lunch.

Corbans Estate Trip

Hello bloggers. We went to Corbans Estate for a trip about Pacific cultures. When I went inside I was a bit scared but excited . My favourite part was the Leis . The drumming was a bit to loud but I still liked it.

Well my favourite part of the drumming was when
I did the drumming but I was still happy that everybody
had a turn.
